The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Bio
With a B.F.A. from Cleveland Institute of Art (CIA) and an M.F.A. from Kent State University, teaching as an adjunct professor at CIA, Notre Dame College, and visiting artist at East Carolina University, I find being an artist is WHO I AM. I find creating abstract paintings gives me the most satisfaction.
Artist Statement
The overarching phases of my work has dealt with different approaches to how one may observe a structured space; such as the layering effect of seeing reflections. Sometimes by zooming in on the space such that you do in a digital photo, you lose details. This disintegrates the subject and shifts attention to the space.
My recent paintings challenge the illusion of seeing space through layered multiple paint drips like curtains. These curtains separate space into planes over ambiguous forms and lines that become partly obliterate behind the planes adding an energized contrast to the spatial structure.
