The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Bio

My creative focus and passion is visual story telling: capturing and creating photos that represent the inextricable connection to all and to highlight the innate essence of God/Divine Spirit in all beings.  My style is casual yet professional in nature, welcoming and real. Nature is my biggest teacher, and I am continually surprised, amazed, and enthralled by the Earth’s resiliency and beauty and what she teaches.  I’ve been influenced by Ansel Adams, Annie Lebovitz, Steve McCurry, and Robert Mapplethorpe photographers known for fashion, landscape, portraiture or black & white. Life, and the attributes of curiosity and observation have also been huge teachers throughout my creative process.  

My work has been in galleries and establishments throughout Ohio and is in the permanent collection of artwork at MetroHealth Hospital, Cleveland OH and Rhodes Tower, Columbus OH.  

 

Artist Statement

As a photographer, I observe and intuit ways to highlight my subject matter bringing out natural playfulness, joy, and expression. I work with my clients to co-create photos that are beautiful, natural, and unique.
