The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. For more information, contact Kathy Signorino, artist programs director, at kathy.signorino@oac.ohio.gov or 614-728-6140.

Bio

I had a career in public relations and organization management, both of which provided me with opportunities to photograph people and groups. I have a master’s degree in journalism from Ohio State University where I took photography courses. I was editor of the Miami University yearbook in 1967-68 and reviewed many photographs for publication.  I edited the Songs of Worthington book, a composite of a photography exhibit in 1992 designed to celebrate cultural diversity in the Worthington community and reinforce the belief that diversity enriches life.

Now retired, I am a member of the Westbridge Camera Club where I am learning from professional and fellow amateur photographers about how to improve my skills and understanding of photography.

I am an avid hosta grower and had won several awards from the American Hosta Society for my photographs of hostas. My wife and I enjoy international travel, and I like to capture the experiences of people in their every-day lives and the natural beauty of their surroundings.
