The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. I create in the abstract. I have found my artistic perspective to be unconventional with an approach to painting without limits or boundaries. Each day unveils a multitude of present-day concepts that serve as my inspiration to create contemporary abstract paintings. The music composed by my sons, the DePolo twins, Jared and Andrew, serve as an additional form of inspiration. I see the color, form and depth of their orchestral compositions then transform them into visual compositions through paint on canvas. My artwork encourages viewers to search beyond the obvious, visualize concepts that are unnoticed or unintentionally buried. Creating abstract paintings invigorates me. For now, I feel it’s the only form of visual art where I can truly bring my unique point of view to life.
