The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

My name is JD, I’m a self-taught artist from northeast Ohio and I’ve been doing art since childhood. Over 20 years ago I went on a journey to discover my own style of art and since that moment it has become a core part of my approach to creating art.
Everyone is unique and we must discover what makes us unique. What I came to learn on my art journey is that it’s not what we are good at that defines us as individuals but what we aren’t good at that does. It’s my view that by accepting and embracing our weaknesses we can begin to truly learn what makes us unique.
