The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Artist Statement
My world was in a constant state of dismantlement. My father’s ambitions, once thought of as creative in nature, slowly became an ever-growing decay of our personal environment. This creative ambition slowly devolved into an accumulation of unfinished home improvement projects, resulting in holes in the walls, roof leaks, and floorboards removed and not replaced, and many other unsightly remains. As a result of living like this in my home for most of my upbringing, I developed an appreciation for rare materials such as building supplies. During this time I became my father’s apprentice and gained an understanding of the principles of carpentry. Using my personal experiences with nostalgic materials, I opened up a discourse about dynamic relationships between father and son, space, and personal belongings.
