The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Artist Statement

First trained as a studio artist, I came to photography in my master’s program at CU, Boulder. I have mixed, combined and blended my photographic work with traditional artistic approaches, video installation, and found objects.  I am interested in reinterpreting the photographic image, rendering or embedding my conceptual ideation and multimedia approaches – pushing the boundaries of the image.

I give myself license to explore ideas based on life’s circumstances,  interpreted through various photographic and traditional materials. My current artistic expressions include: oils on canvas, archival printed photographs, prints, and mixed-media works. They all tell the story of my travels, internal and external, coupled with my increasing need for “slowness.”
