The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Artist Statement
For a song-writer and musician, it has been a wonderful honor to be allowed to be included in some of the most intimate of moments of life with numerous individuals – as they were dying, with family and/or friends by their side. In my work with Hospice of Cincinnati, as an Artist in Healing, I have had the privilege of playing music and singing WITH and for the dying and their loved ones since 2019. I have loved playing music to soothe, comfort and inspire healing for patients in University of Cincinnati Medical Center’s intensive care, cancer healing, and regular patient care units since 2023.
In both types of facilities, I am happy to have also helped the staff with my music, helping them cope with these incredibly stressful jobs. In fact, I wrote a song about & for them – Angels With Your Feet On the Ground, which shares my appreciation for who they are and what they do.
It has been a joy to offer my “Oasis”, a meditative, multi-media (music with photo slide show) concert of original music in a variety of settings to allow hundreds of individuals to take a few hours to contemplate their lives as spiritual beings living a human experience – offering the possibilities of forgiveness and greater joy.
I have written/composed 80+ songs/instrumentals and recorded & produced 5 albums to-date, currently streaming 3 of those, with plans for 4 more within the next year.
It has been fun and inspiring to initiate, organize, and host “Music Nights”, singing and playing music together – with some participants dancing too!
I initially wrote ‘Caterin’s Story – A Gift of Flowering Stone’ as a bedtime story for my younger daughter – to inspire her to be powerful, courageous, kind, and generous person, but thought the story might inspire others.
AND, I co-authored ‘Yoga & the 21st Century Man – Fitting Yoga into a Busy Man’s Life’ with my friend Roger Null (now deceased), a Yoga Master Teacher, who directed classes into his 86th year. His 45+ years of teaching, especially from the perspective of a professional truck driver and golfer are the heart of the book. I believe his teaching saved my life and have allowed me to remain youthfully and energetically engaged in many activities. I thought others should have the benefit of his wisdom and my perspective as an IT worker, sitting for long hours at work, with not much time for self-care.
I see my life goal/work to see & acknowledge the good in each person and believe in the goodness of all of humanity. I created my life motto/philosophy in writing my song, ‘Daybreak – A Timekeeper’s Chronicle’ in 1974, with the lyric – “Hope for the Best & Forgive the Rest” and I continue to practice that in my work as a musician, composer/songwriter and author, as well as in my personal life.
