The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Bio

I attended the University of Cincinnati and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts in Art Education. While studying Fine Arts, I majored in fiber arts and minored in photography. In the late 80’s and 90’s my weavings were featured at a furniture store in the Cincinnati area. After moving back to the Cleveland area to attend Kent State University, I received a Master in Education and began working in jewelry design, including stone setting. While raising my children Renn and David, I maintained an Etsy shop selling jewelry then moved to work in fiber art and photography creating clothing designs, home goods and accessories. For 35 years I worked with infants, children and adults with developmental disabilities, but 5 years ago, I left this work to pursue creativity full-time. PrairyErth Designs (http://www.prairyerthdesigns.com) is my brand that encompasses all the mediums I love to work in. I assist Liz Maugans at the Yards Projects at Worthington Yards, promoting artists from the Cleveland area, hanging work in an always changing gallery as well as assisting with show openings. In addition, I work at City Goods on the corner of W28th and Church St in Hingetown. This unique concept promotes local artists and business entrepreneurs.
